When trying to launch an application which uses OpenGL hardware
acceleration, the following messages will be written to the console:

   * libGL: XF86DRIGetClientDriverName: 8.26.18 atiogl_a (screen 0)
   * libGL: OpenDriver: trying /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri//atiogl_a_dri.so
   * fglrx: libGL version does not match - OpenGL module is using glapi
fallback
   * [fglrx] API ERROR: could not register entrypoint for SelectTextureSGIS

Other API error messages may appear in the console.

Says to copy following
To work around this issue, please download and replace the appropriate
libGL.so.1.2 file after installing the ATI Propriatery 8.26.18 display driver
or higher.

32 bit users

   * Copy libGL.so.1.2 to "/usr/X11R6/lib/" on pre-X.org 7.0 systems, or to
"/usr/lib" on X.org 7.0 or higher systems.

64 bit users

   * Copy libGL.so.1.2 to "/usr/X11R6/lib64/" on pre-X.org 7.0 systems, or
to "/usr/lib" on X.org 7.0 or higher systems.

???Problem is I'm not sure where to find the file location and replace with
one above.  Did all kinds of searches for /usr/  dir and for
filename---anyone have any lluck with this?

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!

Further investigation reveals:
The information in this article applies to the following configuration(s):

ATI Propirietary 8.26.18 display driver
         RADEON 8x00 products series
         RADEON 9x00 product series
         RADEON product series
         Red Hat Enterprise Linux suite
         Novell/SuSE product suite

Why it's on the Windows Vista drivers page is anybody's guess.......
