I have 2 computers, both with MSI Motherboards. On both of them I cannot get
the front USB ports to work in Vista....I have talked to MSI and they are
saying they should just work...But I have tried connecting the case and a
internal card reader but it doens;t work. Any ideas

My Dell BIOS has separate enable settings for the front and the rear USB
ports, yours might also.

A long shot: I had a machine that the front set of USBs did not work, the
connector had been installed backward onto the mother board, took me a long
time to find that as I was not expecting such an error.

Good suggestions.  One thing to be aware of: USB ports include a power supply
pin.  If the USB is wired backwards, the supply will be on the wrong pin -
something you plug in may not like that.
If possible, you might want to get the USB port pinout (easily found on the
web) and check with a voltmeter whether the port is backwards or not.  Good
luck.
