Hello, I am running windows vits home basic on a Asus M2n-plus sli vista
edition mobo.

Several days ago my sound stopped working completely. I was using the
onboard CM6501 audio. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, didn't work.
Tried system restore back a couple days before I had the problem, nothing. I
even went out and bought a SB audigy SE sound card and still no sound. When I
try to play a music file in Windows media player I get an error saying
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with
your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your
computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be
functioning properly. You've encountered error message C00D11BA while using
Windows Media Player"

So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions that would be very helpful. Thanks.
