Vista does not provide any USB printer ports after I install and hook up my
printers. Software for HP printer is there, but no go on printing. A look at
properties for that printer finds Vista installed the printer to a parallel
port, when there is none on the system. My Brother printer, HL-1650, is
supposed to have drivers embedded in Vista, yet the #$% program says the
install failed. Both printers work fine on an XP system with USB hookups.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for responding. The printers were in the printers folder, but they
were assigned parallel ports. There were no USB printer ports to select.
Finally got it to work this morning by restoring back to an earlier date.
Thanks!
