I have a similar problem. Like with Vincent my custom color profile is loaded
during startup. Sometimes it stays, sometimes after 2 seconds it is dumped
again for the standard screen. Without any obvious reason or cause. Sometimes
I have to reboot twice to get my home-made color profile on the screen.
Who knows what may cause this and, even better, how to solve it?

based on my response from Colorvision, MS knows about the problem, they just
haven't done anything about it.
This is a reconized Vista issue.
Please ensure you have downloaded the latest version of Vista, this is
a known Microsoft issue mostly occurring with the Home version but is
does not exclude the Professional version.
This issue is not caused by the ColorVision application. It is an issue
with the Vista OS’s security features.
This association issue is affecting all color management companies
within this arena, not only ColorVision. Our engineers are working with
Microsoft to find a solution.

Thank you Q, for your reply.
Although it doesn't solve the problem, it is good to know I am not doing
something wrong.

To whom it may concern:
Eventually I found the (possible) cause and solution myself:
If you experience the same problem and have Adobe Photoshop installed, try
this:
Go to Windows System Configuration Tool and select the tab Start Up (or
something like that, I have the Dutch version). Look for the Adobe Gamma
Loader and uncheck it's tickbox. Than restart Windows. This should do the
trick.
