Hi guys,

I have Windows Vista Home Premium and can not find a driver
for my HP Scanjet 6200c.  I've contacted HO to no avail.  The HP
Tech Support informed me that no driver exist for Windows Vista,
and that there are no plans to create one in the future.

Thanks

It's up to HP whether they support their discontinued products for Vista,
but you might like to try Vuescan (http://www.hamrick.com/) which may give
you functionality on your old scanner, but if that does not work, I'm afraid
you should look at purchasing something newer.

Vuescan has its own drivers that will work with HP scanners. I have the
C6270A and it works great in Vista. Download vuescan from the
internet and install.

Go to the device manager in Vista (rightclick "Computer" then select
"Magage" then "Device Manager". Rightclick on the Scanjet (it should be
visible when you plug in the USB cable for the scanner, but it will have
an explanation mark) then select to update driver software. Point to the
vuescan folder (e.g C:\Program Files\vuescan) It will find a driver and
install. That's it. You can use the vuescan application which is pretty
good, but make sure you purchase it when the trial runs out.

Cheers.
