Here's some information on how to do it if you still want to:

I have a new laptop running VISTA and want to transfer my address book from
XP Home Edition. I used the "Migrate" link you supplied, which was very good,
except when I try to export from XP, I cannot access that part of the "File"
menu. My computer keeps trying to load Microsoft Office 2000, but I don't
have that program or disk, so I can't do it. Any ideas? Thanks for your
assistance.

Probably because I didn't include the part for transferring the address
book (contacts).  To transfer it from Outlook Express to Windows Mail,
find the .wab file Outlook Express creates to hold the address book, and
copy it to a directory on the hard drive of your Vista computer.  Then
start Windows Mail, Click Tools, then Windows Contacts, them Import,
then Windows Address Book File (Outlook Express contacts), then
Import, then find the .wab file and click on it, then Close, then close the
contacts window.

Can you still use the WinXP computer?
Do you have the *.wab file from the WinXP computer?

If you used Outlook Express on the old computer, see
