I used to think I was relatively sophisticated using Word & Outlook Express.
I had a dyn-o-mite signature with hyperlinks. I just got Windows Vista and
I'm having a lot of trouble with my signature. I can't get much in it and not
the three hyperlinks. Also I see them with photos and I would like to be able
to do that.
As a newbie to Vista - if you are kind enough to help me - speak very slowly
and use small words.
Thanks

Hi Gary,
Thanks for the link. I did everything and made a very nice signature and
everything was working fine until step K where it says Dot File under the
Edit Signature section, then click the Browse button. (See screenshot below
step 5)
I can't figure out what it means or how to get to it.

Look at the screenshot under step 5. It shows you can either put a
dot in the select button for "Text" or for "File". In your case, select
the "File" option.

Hopefully you received my message sent a few minutes after this one. I did
figure out what I did wrong. I've been having trouble with my spell check
too. Do you have any advice for that? I can't get it to "auto" fix as I type.
I got spoilt with my previous program. I didn't have to capitalize any first
words of a sentence.

Windows Mail does not have the auto-correct feature.
Upgrade to Windows Live Mail which does have it:

Gary, I take back what I said. Somehow in the maelstrom of typing I must have
unchecked the "use signature on outgoing emails"
I changed that and I have a beautiful signature with my picture (not so
beautiful)
Thank you so much for your help.

How big is your signature file? Windows Mail has trouble with such files
bigger than about 4 KB. It allows it to have some references to other
files, though.
