I have the 'saved' emails off of my old hard drive from my Outlook Express's 'inbox', outbox', etc. on a disk , but I don't know how to get them into my new Windows Mail. They are .dbx files. They are .dbx files. Thanks, Lynne Do have all the .dbx files from the Outlook Express setup, not just the ones that contain email? If so, create a directory on your new hard drive and copy them all to this directory. Make sure the .dbx files are all read-write, not readonly. For Vista, you then have to copy them over to the Vista machine and add them to the directory holding the others before you tell Windows Mail to import that entire directory. OEX (www.oehelp.com/OEX/) has many features and works both in OE and WinMail (except 64 bit at the moment) and will allow the users to point to a non-corrupt dbx file (unless its huge) and import the messages from it directly to the WinMail folders. I know one, called Advanced Outlook Express Repair. Fortunately , It worked rather well for my corrupt Outlook Express dbx files last time. I think it may be helpful to you.
