Problem with '#' in link

Whenever I click on a link with a '#' in it within Window Mail, somehow the
part after the '#' gets cut off. So:

http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/struct/links.html#h-12.1.2

bevomes:

http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/struct/links.html

This does not happen within Thunderbird, so my best guess is that Windows
Mail causes this behaviour.

Is there any way to solve this? The '#' is a legal character within an url,
so it should't cause any problem, should it?

Thanks in advance!

This is a major bug that was not fixed in Vista SP1.

The MVPs bugged it specifically, and MS did not fix it.
