When I click on the Contacts icon on my Windows Mail, I get this error message:

Winmail.exe
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.  You may not have
the appropriate permissions to access the item.

What does that mean?  This is my personal computer.  I cannot access any of
my contacts because of this error message.  Any help would be greatly
appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

There can be a variety of reasons why contacts don't work properly
in Windows Mail, such as running a non-compatible antivirus, or having
installed an old version of Outlook. Rather than waste time on
troubleshooting this, I recommend you upgrade to the replacement
program, Windows Live Mail:

Good to hear, but it would have been helpful to tell us what fixed it.
