email application not found error message

after i installed the new service pack anytime i open an e-mail and try to
open a link or open an article within the e-mail I get an application not
found error message and it won't open them.I tried to get around it by
downloading windows live mail but i still get the same error message.I tried
to open an article in a email newsletter and got the application not found
message. thanks in advance

What kind of link?
