When I look for mail, and I get the message and the beep "2 messages" they're
not always there! I'm really loosing email! I'm using this program for months
now, no problem, but since about a week it's a nightmare. So unreliable! My
send-messages don't always appear in the outbox.... What's going on?????
Please help!

New incoming mail can go into Junk E-mail, and (depending on
your Junk E-mail settings) be permanently deleted from there.
Check your settings under Tools, Junk E-mail Options.

Please start a separate thread for your send messages issue.
That's an entirely different matter.

I haven't changed anything in my Junk E-mail settings, so that's not it. I
asked about the send message in the same thread because it started all at
once. I also get strange names in my adressbook. Could it be a virus or bug
or something (though I think I'm well protected)

I suppose you have looked for the missing messages in your Junk
E-mail and Deleted Items folders?

Viruses are not likely to delete email. Surprisingly it is more likely
that an anti-virus or anti-spyware program would do so. Make sure
all your third party security programs are configured *not* to scan
email. Email scanning is not recommended by experts, see
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm
