My Windows Mail keeps saying please verify that both the user & password are
correct for your mail server. I have not touched anything in my mail server
and I don't know how to fix this. Can someone help. Until I get this
resolved, I cannot receive any emails.
Please help! I never had this happen to me before so I don't know what to
do. If I don't get an answer, I will have to call Comcast.net.
Hopefully one of you can help me.
Thank you

Comcast has been starting to require email users to switch to a different
port,
but has been rather poor at telling their users about this.

Check if your send and receive setting is correct.
you may handle it in this way:
in the accounts setting in tools > accounts, then see your mail properties,
check if the severs and advanced setting is OK.

That symptom is typical of a corrupted password store.
The corruption is caused over time by your antivirus program.
1. First, delete that corrupted mail account, restart Windows Mail,
then recreate that account. If no improvement:
2. Uninstall your antivirus, reboot, then repeat step 1.
If that fixes the problem, we can recommend a free antivirus that
is more compatible with Windows Mail.
