In my windows mail i can not list 'all messages' any more. I can read new
messages only when hide the read ones. I can find all messages via search but
it is very inconvenient.

Your message doesn't give enough details to offer much help.  Have you
found that you can click on a folder, then View, then Current View, then
either Show All Messages or Hide Read Messages to switch between
different views for that folder?

I can switch between show all messages and hide all messages and hide read
messages in the current view folder or in the inbox folder but there is no
change in the way the messages are displayed. It either shows only the last
message or tells me 'no message selected'. In the bottom line it is saying '
View applied 29 message(s), 0 unread'

Hello Emma-Lisa,
Try this :
1. Open Windows Mail, at the top click Tools
2. Click Options
3. Under General tab, checkmark the box that says "Check for new
messages every "
enter the time i.e. 30 minutes. While you are there, see if any
options you want to
select. If so, check the appropriate boxes.
4. Click APPLY, then OK.
Let me know if this works.

No it is not working. I can do all the things you said but it does not change
the way the messages are displayed or better not displayed. So I have
basically all the settings right but none of the folders are displaying the
messages only the last one. They still tel me how many are there and if they
are read but I can not show them.

Hello Emma-Lisa,
Windows Mail is an old version. The new one is called Windows Live
Mail. It's meant to replace windows mail eventually. Why don't you take
this oppertunity and make the switch? I am giving you a link, just click
it and install the WLM. After installing, WLM (windows live mail) will
transfer everything from your windows mail account. It's painless. Link
as below :

'Windows Live Mail' (http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview)

PS. After you have clicked the link, click the orange box the says "Get
it free", then click RUN, and follow instructions.
