I'm assuming you can connect to the internet and have set up your mail
account in windows mail. If so, this may help:

Have you set up your email account on your laptop?  See if this helps:

Note that when you're using wireless, you sometimes connect through
a neighbor's wireless server instead of your own.  If your neighbor uses
a different internet provider, this means that your connection to the
server will cross over from one internet provider's equipment to
another's before it reaches the server.  When this happens, and you
happen to be connecting through port 25, such connections are often
blocked to cause trouble for spammers.

Also , you might want to click on the Outbox and either move any
messages you find there to the Drafts folder or delete them.  Let us
know if you find any that refuse to do either.

As I understand it, Qwest has a choice of several different email
providers. Have you checked out their directions?
