is there a way when sending group emails to make the email personal to each
person? I want to send out an invite to an exhibition with Dear (name) for
each person but dont want to have to send the email 100 times.

Not with WinMail.  You would need something like Outlook to do that.

You're more likely to get help for Outlook in a newsgroup meant for
Outlook, such as:

microsoft.public.outlook.general
