export from mail to outlook 2003

Hi all,

I have been using Windows Mail on Vista. Its not bad but is def. lacking
some features that Outlook has. So, I have installed Outlook 2003 on the
machine. My questions:
1. How to move all my emails from Mail to Outlook. I have about 15 folders
containing emails and I would like to keep the folder structure. Also, it is
important to me to be able to keep the time/date stamps for each email
opposed to them all changing to the time/date stamp of when it is imported
into Outlook.
2. How to move my contacts from Mail to Outlook. Way too many of them to
retype!

In WM do file-Export.....
This will keep the Modified date as the date of receipt or sending.

In Outlook do File-Import and Export-Import Internet Mail and Addresses. See
if Windows Mail is listed there. If so, Uncheck the Mail box at the bottom
of the dialog box, leaving AddressBook checked.

You export msgs from Mail to OL in order to retain the dates.
I'm unsure how this handles folders since I've only ever used OL

Regarding contacts, both programs understand the CSV format.
So export from Windows Contacts using that format, then import
that CSV file into Outlook contacts. Any 'group' data will probably
be lost during the export/import process.
