I cant figure out what is wrong  I based the settings off of
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html

and i get the error message:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'drivers license', Account: 'rlhenslee@yahoo.com',
Server: 'plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL):
Yes, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

i tried changing the outgoing mail port from 465 to 25 cause i think i saw
in another persons post they were told to use that one, but i get the error
message:

Subject 'drivers license', Account: 'rlhenslee@yahoo.com', Server:
'plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 8BITMIME',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D

pls help,
thank you

If yahoo.com is not your internet provider, port 25 is not a good idea.
Connections
that cross over from one internet provider's equipment to another's before
they
reach the server are often blocked to cause problems for spammers.

Correction - that should be connections to port 25 with such a crossover are
often blocked.  Connections to other ports with such a crossover are
occasionally blocked, but not by many internet providers.

What if any antivirus programs do you have and have you ever had a Norton
or McAfee antivirus program installed?  Some of them cause assorted problems
in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.  The trial versions of these
programs that often come already installed on new computers can cause the
same problems as purchased versions.

See the instructions for yahoo.com accounts near the end of this message.
The requirements for Yahoo sites for other counties or for specific internet
providers are often different, though.
