Cannot send emails from windows mail after entering yahoo details

I cannot send emails using windows email
I have vista premium home ed
I can receive emails.

I have changed port settings for outgoing emails to 465 and ticked ssl

Please help

I assume you have been having problems connecting to yahoo.com too.
To connect there using Windows Mail, you have to either pay them extra
or install a conversion program.

Okay...yes it is Comcast's new port assignment from 25 to 587, and also one
must check the "my server requires authentication" box and subsequently enter
username and password (only once tho) to have access to sending emails again.

Do you have a paid Yahoo account or a free one?
Is this a new problem? How did you previously send your email?
Copy and post any error messages.
