Windows Forum / Windows Vista / Mail / May 2008Can't insert file in Windows Mail
Everytime I try to insert a file into an email, the program shuts down completely. No error message or any other indication. Windows Mail just shuts down. I'm running Vista on a new Dell computer, slightly less than 1 yr old. My other email program - Microsoft Office Outlook has no problem. Windows Mail has problems attaching a file that is still open in some other program, so try closing down any other programs that have used or created the file. If you did the standard install for AVG, it often helps to uninstall it, then do a custom install where you tell it to leave out the part that scans email. http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download?prd=afe Windows Defender is an antispyware program instead of an antivirus program, so it won't give you the problems caused by having more than one antivirus program installed at a time. You can, however, have more than one antispyware program installed at a time without problems. |
