Just curios of everyone that uses Windows Live Mail finds it to be better
than Windows Mail and why? If I were to install it, any known problems I
should be aware of and will it bring all my settings, contacts and so on
over?

I can't say I gave it a thorough test but it messed me up completely.
I combined 2 hotmail accounts and a POP account and ended up with all the
Contacts being merged into one and one signature when I was expecting three.

Windows Live Mail is able to connect to email providers such as Hotmail
who use a HTTP connection method; Windows Mail isn't. Windows Live
Mail keeps the messages for all email accounts separate; Windows Mail
uses a single set of Local Folders for all of them.
You'll find more Windows Live Mail users in the newsgroup meant for it:

I've used it and still do for Hotmail. I don't like it, but it's better
than IE for Hotmail.

WLM is something you need to try for yourself, rather than relying
on someone else's impression. Some like its GUI, others hate it.
There is no drawback to trying it. If it turns out you don't like it,
merely uninstall, and WM is back just like before.

Thanks Gary for you input. I won't try it on this machine, but have another
I can test it on. One thing in your reply that impressed me was you say
after you uninstall, WM is back like before. I like that :>)
