Seems like Windows mail still isn't up to par; I'm disappointed
I'm trying to set up my account and i get the following messages:

A secure connection to the server could not be established. Subject 'test',
Account: 'pop.googlemail.com', Server: 'smtp.googlemail.com', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC1A

Also:
the server you are using requires certifiication that could not be verified.
That certifications CN name does not match the passed values.  Do you want
to continue using this server?

Any ideas on how to fix this issue.

The smtp server does not use port 995 - it uses port 465

The POP server uses port 995......
