Do these instructions help?

If not, we're likely to need to see the entire error message, not just the
error number, to offer much more help.  Right click on it and copy it
to your next message.

Thanks, Robert.  I did follow those instructions precisely bfore posting
this trouble report.  I also just completed a live tech session with
McAfee - and it doesn't appear to be the problem either.  Something is not
right - I just can't figure out what it might be.  It just won't authentiate
with the news server.

Thanks!

Then you may need to contact Comcast also to check if their
newsgroups server has problems, or the requirements for using
it have changed but they haven't updated the instructions to
match.

Also, we still need to see the entire error messages if you're
getting any.
