I've been reading all over the web, and it seems many people are having the
same problem.

Every time I attach a picture, every way, no matter what I do with the
settings, it still embeds the picture into the body of the email....  I've
gone into tools, and settings, and even switch the mail format to text only.
And yet it still sends the message with the pictures embedded into the body
of the message,,,,

is this a glitch in the new and improved windows mail through Vista? and if
so, is there a patch anyone is aware of??  please help, this is very
irritating....

thank you.

If you have an attachment that is a picture, Windows Mail will try to
display it along with the text.  The only way I know of to stop it is
to choose a picture in a format that Windows Mail does not know
what program to use to display it.

That is more a function of the receiving email program than the sending
email program. You have no control over what the recipient's email
program is or does.
