Can't view emails on both vista webmail and outlook express

Using a laptop if I view email messages in vista webmail and then go to my PC
which has outlook express, the messages are not in my inbox. The same
happens when I view messages in outlook express they do not show up in my
inbox on the laptop vista webmail. How can get all messages to appear in
both inboxes?

Go to Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Advanced,
enable "Leave a copy of messages on server." Also select one or both
of the two associated 'remove' options.
Do this on both computers.
