Hi, When i send an attachment to people they can't open them. I've got vista
when the others havn't. It's the same the other way as well i can't open some
attachments people send me. Its mainly spreadsheets that are the problem,
any ideas. Kind regards Darren

If these attachments are from Office 2007, make sure you save them as
Office97-2003 compatible

Which programs create the attachments that there are problems with?
What are the parts of the file names of these attachments starting with
the last period?
Also, note that attachments sent using Outlook are seldom readable
unless you also have Outlook installed on your machine.

Then they're likely to have to install the same programs that
produced the attachments on their machines to be able to open
them, assuming they can't find a cheaper reader-only program
that will let you read them but not change them or to produce
new attachments of these types.

You've identified the originating program but not the sender's email program.
Attachments send via Outlook are often not readable by non-Outlook mail
clients.
