Hi,

I've replaced a Win XP pc with a new Vista laptop. I want to import .dbx
Outlook Express emails from the old machine to the new. The OE emails are on
a portable hard drive in dbx form. I've tried importing from within Windows
Mail, but the file type isn't recognised.

Any ideas please?

For one thing, you have to import a whole directory of such files at a time,
not individual files.  Also, the files have to be read-write instead of
readonly
to avoid problems.  And Windows Mail often has problems importing from
external devices, instead of from a directory on your hard drive.
