My time received for emails is out of synch with the time on my computer.

How can I remedy this?

Are you sure they aren't the time the emails were received at your email
provider's server, which often won't be the same as the time you
downloaded them?  If they don't match that time either, your mail
provider's server may have its time set wrong, in which case you can't
do much about it except tell them about this problem.

The most likely cause for this is a wrong time zone setting on your PC.
