Email sort (Vista)

I want my emails to sort in descending order. This was working fine, but
today it has decided to sort in descending order AND by subject. I can't get
the 'sort by subject button' to clear. How do I do this?

Click on the required column header to sort by it, subject, from, sent etc

Thanks Steve. I tried just clicking on the sort that I wanted (descending),
but the trouble is that for some reason there are two choices filled in, and
I can't get the second sort choice to go away. Shouldn't there just be one
sort?

You are talking about a different approach than Steve suggested.
Most of us sort by clicking on the appropriate column header.
It sounds like you went to View, Sort By. Besides 'descending' (or
ascending) you need one other parameter, because 'descending'
by itself doesn't pin down what you want.

Thanks Gary. I appreciate the clarification. I had indeed misinterpreted
Steve's suggestion. Sort is working fine now.
