I use sympatico/msn for my email. When I send mail and want to attach a photo
,there is the option to attach a photo ,and my email automatically downsizes
my photos if they are to big when I use the laptop with windows xp). When I
use the laptop with vista that option is not there in my email, and I can
only send the photo as a file, its huge, over 2 mb. Why is this option
missing?

Open the photos in Windows Photo Gallery, then click E-mail on its toolbar,
which will then give you a choice of photo sizes.
Windows Mail by itself can't reduce photo sizes.
