I receive a fairly large number of technical and semi-technical emails in
text format which I save and then merge into word documents. Since starting
with Vista, I have noticed that the save operation wraps the lines to about
50 characters in width. This is a real PIA because I then have to do heavy
editing to get them back into a readable form. I do not remember this
happening in XP Pro. Is there a setting buried some where that will allow me
to control this wraping feature?

What if you take an open message and do a CTRL-A and then CTRL-C and then in
Word do a CTRL-V?

That seems to do the trick but it certainly is ackward and word has to be
opened before hand but I thank you for the information and will use it to
save time

Why does Word have to be open first?

That's just a workaround as I don't know a way around it otherwise.
