Media centre music problems

Whenever I try to play music from media center I am told that an important
componant is not currently available so what do I do?

Hey T5-

What type of music files are you trying to play?  What is the exact error
message you are receiving?  It sounds as if you may be trying to play a
filetype for which you do not have the proper codec (decoder) installed...
