Windows Camera Wizard doesn't work properly???

According to the Help Windows Camera Wizard is suppose to "automatically"
detect which photos have been downloaded to the computer and not download
them again. Well it DOESN'T Work.

I have 89 photos on my camera. I used the wizard to import into Windows
Photo Gallery. I moved and retaged them all into subfolders based on
type/date.

After taking 10 more pictures I went to import again and it is trying to
import ALL 89 PHOTOS again!!!

Does anyone know if this is a bug? I can use Google or Adobe import manager
but I like the way that Windows renamed them.

If you moved them and retagged them what do you expect? The wizard doesn't
think they've been downloaded cause there not in the folder it originally
wrote them to. It's not keeping track of where you move them or flagging
them on your camera's memory card.

Hi,

Well it didn't say that in the help. If it is not going to flag them somehow
than I have no idea why MS would take away the ability to select the photos
you want to import. How many people are going to keep their photos all in
the same folder.

Now I have to use Google Picasa or Adobe Album.

Actually I took 45 new photos and it wouldn't detect them. It kept trying to
import the 83 previous ones.

Pretty useless if you ask me.
