Discussions - however, I try to give some tips:

You can try using the Internet Explorer without AddOns, that would fix
problems caused by plugins from the OEM or other installed apps. To do this,
simply type "internet add" into instant search and you will see the "Internet
Explorer (No Add Ons)" - assuming transfer is possible without AddOns anyway.

If this doesn't fix it, you can try to run the Internet Explorer as an
Admin. This could be needed if the site your uploading to uses a plugin that
needs admin rights.
To do this create a new shortcut on the desktop, choose "c:\program
files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe" as location then type a name for the
shortcut and execute it with right-clicking on the created icon and choosing
"Run as Administrator".

Finally, if it is a FTP site your uploading to, there are plenty of
FTP-Tools to control FTP-Site access and transfer. This can also be helpful
if there are a lot of files to manage or many different sites.

However, a friend of mine is working with Vista and also uploads a lot of
files & pictures via FTP onto his websites. Normally, it should work. It
seems like trouble specific to your PC or requirements of the site you're
uploading to. Maybe you can give more details about the problem - e.g. What
kind of site, does Windows Problem Reporting say something about the problem?

You shouldn't be using IE to upload anything, it is a browser. Use the
right tool. That would be a FTP client. Many good free or low cost
ones that work like Windows Explorer when you have one one window pane
showing what you want to upload ie what's on your computer, another
showing what is on your web server. A good place to get FTP clients
and many other things is over at TUCOWS.  http://tucows.com

To use a FTP client you need to know your ISP password, login, show be
the same you use to log onto the Internet and also the address to
access the FTP service your ISP provides, (they all do) which you can
easily get from your ISP in about 10 seconds either by phone or off
their web site. You connect to your site like you do to any web page
and move files easily back and forth. Many ISPs also offer some mickey
mouse front end when you can do things even more easily.

Does anyone know why I can't download a "quick upload" for photos from a
photo shop?  I've tried it several times, but it always fails.

I too am having the same problem and am very upset about it. I am a
photographer as well and am very upset at the $3000 I spent on my new lap top
and was given no choice in my Operating System either. Mine does the same
thing when I try to upload pictures to a site. Very frustrating!!! Plus,
there is no hel from the people who do have a degree in Compuster Science at
Microsoft. As far as the posts that were made to help...you might as well be
speaking French to me...I have no idea what you are saying to do. I have
never even heard of an FTP Client or any of the other things you are talking
about. Plus, I do not understand why it won't just upload the pictures
through my browser while I am on the website.
