.... installs and runs fine in the 5308 build without having to be manually
set to run in compatibility mode for XP-SP2.... unless it remembered me
setting it that way with the previous build.

Btw, have you tried to run MM 2.1 in vista 5308 ? I haven't had any success.

I was referring to old version 2.1 of Movie Maker. The new version as shown
in your picture does work fine over here as well..
