My tv signal is routed thru a tivo, then in to my tv card. We have a strict
scrambled digital signal so we are required to have a box. I have a tv wonder
elite that is connected to the tivo via s-video and rca audio, as well as
coax. I CAN recieve a signal via channel 4, but what is really driving me
crazy is the 4 second delay.
What i want to know is, Is there any way to get rid of the cache delay
within mce, or is there any solo tv player that works within vista.
powercinema does the same thing, gemstar doesn't work at all, and the plugin
for winamp tv doesn't seem to be compatible with the new ati stream driver.

Someone suggested using K!TV and said it was compatible w/Vista and is free.
Lemme see I'll get the URL for ya..........

BTW I have an ATI card in another computer and it doesn't delay, but my
WinTV PVR USB always had a delay (not comp. w/Vista).  Maybe it is common to
all Hauppauage products.  I have the Win-TV PVR150 media center kit and it
works, but I don't know if it delays as I've not had the real TV on at the
same time.  I had Adelphia and to receive HD I have to program the top box
to accept HD signals so the extra jack on the box only sends out the PIP
signal, so I have to change channels from the top box.

Actually, the Delay is part of MCE,.. pretty much all video recorder software
that ive seen has that, allows you to pause and rewind live tv, etc. my tivo
actually caches 30 minutes at a time. problem comes when your trying to fast
forward thru commercials etc. using the tivo remote control i have to pretty
much guess when to hit play again.
