I just bought a new lap top with Windows Vista Home Basic. While I have no
problems downloading software from CD's or playing DVD's, I cannot get Vista
to recognize pictures that have been burned to CD. The picture CD works fine
on my home PC but shows "0" files when on my lap top with Vista. How can I
get Vista to recognize my picture CD's?
Is the CD still open to save pictures from the original PC? If so Vista won't
read it.
You can close it out on the original PC or use a program called Isobuster to
extract the photos in Vista. In any case Isobuster (free version, just
google) will get the photos for you.

I bought pictures from on a Kodak CD while on vacation at Sandals in
Jamaica and was completely frustrated because I couldn't open the
pictures with Vista. I even called Sandals IT department but they didn't
have any information other then, "It was a known problem, with no
solution and Kodak was working on the fix for Vista."
After I downloaded IsoBuster I was able to finally look at the pictures
that I paid way too much for! Thanks for the help!
