Hello,

I have a new HP laptop w/ vista.   I cant seem to stream video fast enough
from youtube.  The net effect is the video and audio stutter a lot.    Im on
a wireless broadband network and my other 2 laptops run fine w/ xp.   The
signal is strong and I have disabled ipv6 based on other postings.    Any
other suggestions?

Try disabling Remote Differential Compression.  This might help speed up
your network connection in Vista and make streaming from youtube faster.

Have you tried with your new Laptop using a wireless connection to your
router?
What graphics card/chip is in your new Laptop?

I just finished connecting the new laptop directly to the modem/broadband and
bypassing the wireless and the problem persists.   I do not think its
wireless related.
Any ideas?

I agree it is not wireless related based on your test result.
Again I ask what graphics card is installed in your new laptop?
Also how much memory does it have?

Well your video card appears to have enough horsepower.
Have you checked the HP WebSite to see if they have any updated graphics,
network, or audio drivers for your Laptop?

If I were you, I would first unload the flash player, totally uninstall it.

Then, go here:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Download and install the latest version, right from the source.
