I find Move Maker hangs everytime I switch on my DV Recorder when connected
by fire wire.  Does nybody know of a patch or sequence to use?  Sometimes it
gives an error that import video is already running, but mostly it just
freezes and I have to shut it down with the task manager.

What do you mean by dv recorder?
dv camcorder?
Which make and model is it?

Has it ever worked?
Does it work if you plug in another dv camcorder?
