I recently got Windows Vista along with Windows Media Player 11.  I've been
having problems trying to watch internet videos.  Before on the old XP, I
would just click on the video link which would open up my windows media
player and begin playing the video.  However now on the Vista, when I try to
click on a video link Explorer goes to that Internet Explorer cannot display
the wepage screen.  This happens to me on all video links.  This here is a
link to the kind of video links that I am talking about
http://www.kesser.org/video/mpeg.html
So if anyone can offer up some help for me, it would be much appreciated,
cause as of right now, I can't watch anything off of the web.  Thanks for
your time.

How long did you wait? I visited the site above and clicked on the
first video. It spawned Media Player and 45 seconds went by before it
finally started to play. I have broadband, about 4 Mbps.

Just curious, I tried their Real Media link and the same file started
to play in under 8 seconds but at about half the frame size. If you
don't have it already get a copy of the free Real Media player. If you
like that site you may want to drop them a note and suggest they
encode their vids in WMV format. They are much smaller and generally
better quality.

Thank you for your response.  Well the problem is that Windows Media Player
is not spawning at all for me.  So like when I click on the video, it just
takes me to the error page of Internet Explorer can not display the web page.
I have cable internet and never had a problem with load times in the past
with XP.  Like I said my problem is that Windows Media Player doesn't pop up,
it doesn't do anything.  This was just a random website that I grabbed just
to show an example of what I can't see.
