Hello,
I have:
- Vista x64 Ultimate
- Microsoft Comfort Keyboard 6000
- IntelliType 6.1
It seems that drivers responsible for multimedia keys are malfunctioning,
because sometimes when I press they key the operation assigned is performed
twice. This refers definitely to Windows Media Player (I don’t use other).
It looks like this:
- I have Windows Media Player playing some music in the background
- when I use Internet Explorer (it is my active application) and press
“pause” button on the keyboard the music pauses – everything is ok.
- when I use Word (or any Office application) and press “pause” button the
music pauses and after a fraction of a second it starts playing again. When I
press “next” WMP jumps 2 songs forward.
I don’t have any software that could affect functioning of extra keys on the
keyboard (only IntelliType). Morover I know that other people have similar
problem.
Microsoft, what is going on and how this could be solved???

Have you tried the newer 6.2 IntelliType drivers?

That's quite a good issue - I cannot get 6.2 as when I select there my
keyboard (Wireless Comfort Keyboard) and system (Vista x64) I get:
"IntelliType Pro 6.1 64-bit for Windows Vista"
How can I get 6.2???

Ok, I downloaded IntelliType 6.2, updated the software and the problem still
exists.
