Background Color in Windows Photo Gallery

When I pick a picture from The gallery and bring it to the next frame so it
can be edited, the backgroung color is a beigh that almost bleeds through the
picture and makes it very difficult to see the real colors in the picture.  
When I run it in Slide Show mode, the colors are great.

Is there a way to change that background color?

the background in my gallery used to be white and is still white on my
friends machine at home.  but its turned beige on my computer and his
computer at work and i don't understand why.  its not even just the bg color,
its some kind of color profile issue because the images are all wrong too.  
some one please give a solution!

Had same problem. Installed current drivers for monator. White again.

well i did install the latest driver for my monitor (samsung 932NW) and it's
still bg.. please someone help.. this is killing the picture color quality :(

When you view an image in Windows Photo Gallery on a Windows Vista-based computer, the image is yellow:
