Hi.

One some of our computers we havea problem with media player 11.

Sometimes starting a video it won't show the footage cause media player is
already running in the background also sometimes when we quit the program it
keeps on playing the sound.

Only way to pass the problems is killing media player in the taskmanager.

It's very annoying. Anyway to fix this?

You can try uninstalling it and installing it again...

I could try that. Could you tell me where to do that i have tried 'Programs
and Features'. It's not in the 'Uninstall or change a program' list or under
'Turn Windows features on or off'.

Ignore that - it isn't useful advice in that you cannot uninstall and
reinstall the player on Vista.

What's happening here should be that you have a device or service using the
Media Player still (such as a plugged in device that would potentially sync
with the player).  Since that will prevent the player from shutting down,
you would need to click Stop as opposed to simply killing the player there.
