Burning midi file thru Media Player

I downloaded a file from a 3-1/2 inch floppy (remember those?) onto another
computer, then emailed it to my laptop running Vista. It is saved to my
Desktop, and I can play the file (listen to the song) from there. However, I
have not been successful moving the file into my WMP library or burning it to
a CD.

Any ideas?

Midi files do not contain a sound font...they
only contain the musical notation. (That's why
the files are so small)

If you wish to play the files on a CD player...
they will have to be converted to .mp3.

You may want to try the following free
online converter.
