I've had my laptop (hp pavilion dv6000) for less than 3 months and it's
already giving me trouble, but the worst thing is the problem with windows
explorer. It usually loads up frozen, I can't click on it or anything, and I
have to keep trying every once in a while to restart it, but even when the
actual taskbar thing is working, I can't see anything in my start menu: I can
see the documents, pictures, search, computer links on the right of it, but
none of the programs I had pinned to the start menu show up, it's just blank
white.
I've been searching for someone with the same problem, but they usually end
up being computers that have upgraded to vista and not came with it, but I
have no idea how to fix it and it's so annoying.
But I don't download anything and I thought I was taking good care of it,
does anyone know why it happens? is it a problem with vista or is it
something I did?

Hi,
I'd suggest downloading and installing the most recent video adapter from
Nvidia. I use the same laptop (originally with XP, upgraded to Vista)
without any issues whatsoever.
