I tried to uninstall PC-cillin using the Programs and Features Uninstall
button in the Control Panel and got the message "This is only for programs
that are installed" which was silly since it was installed. I couldn't delete
the program folders because I got the famous "You need Administrator
permission to do this" message even though I am and Administrator. I went
into safe mode and deleted the file folders OK but I'm concerned about the
registry entries. With XP I could use 'Tune up Utilities' to clear up the
resulting mess. Is there program that I can use safely with Vista 64 bit to
cleanup the registry, or should I try using regedit ?

I know this may not apply to x64 or the latest build of Vista but I had to
uninstall in Beta2 and was given this method:
1. Go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\PCC14.55_VistaBeta2_02\Tools.
2. Double Click PCCTool.exe.
3. Select "Allow" for User Account Control window.
4. Select "[E] Uninstall " tab.
5. Select "4. Uninstall" > "Uninstall".
6. Select "Yes" for confirmation message.
7. Wait a few minutes.
8. Restart computer.

Thanks Pippin, but its unnstalled now and I dont fancy reinstalling it then
uninstalling it again just to (hopefully) sort the registry out!  I've
switched to AVG which seems to occupy the cpu far less than PC-cillin did.

When I do a clean install I think I will try AVG again and hope UAC will work
with it this time. PC-cillin takes too long to load + I miss right click to
scan files.
