Well, having the disk management extended in Vista I was sincerely hoping
that MS would have implemented basic sequences, such as moving a partition,
nut nah, shrink and extend a volume yes, but then again only in limited
scenarios. E.g. it is impossible, at least in the graphical ui, to extend a
volume when the empty spacy remains in front of the partition to be extended.
So, now I can neither extend the volume nor can I move it forward, in front
of the empty space, in order to extend it.

Hence, any way to make that happen in vista or is any 3rd party tool yet
ready to deal with in vista? any clue what will happend if using a dos or
linux based tool, I just do not want to screw partition data in vista, nor do
I wish to loose that data (yeah I know already about backups)

Thanks for any good and sound input.

Cheers

I use Partition Magic v7.01 via floppy boot w/o problems.

Google on Partition Magic and Vista to see how the current version works.
