When using the search box in the upper right corner of an explorer window or
the search box in the start menu, I get incomplete search results.

One example:
there is a file on my system named [Philips_dvdr3360h_31_dfu_nld.pdf] ,
When I search for [dvd], this file shows up in the results list, but
when i search for [3360], it won't.

Is there a way to correct this? Or is this a bug in Windows?

(I don't use indexing)

Hey there Zambezi,

I hate to state the obvious, but the easiest way to fix the problem would
most likely be to use the indexing option in Vista.  Is there any reason why
you wouldn't want to?

Best Regards,

Will
