clarification please

Most likely I misunderstood this issue right from the start.
Question : When it comes to scheduled scanning, automatic updating etc,
the computer has to be turned on , or else it will wait till it's on.
Right or wrong ??

Hi t-4-2,

Yes the computer will need to be awake and turned on for them to run.
Most of them have the option checked to run the next available time when
the schedule is missed by default in Task Scheduler, but this depends on
the item.

Yes, certainly the computer has to be powered on. It can often be in
Sleep or Standby mode, but it must be powered on.
